Rusty stretched and groaned from the sprawling pile of red poodle puppies. Even though it was cozy and the family was sleeping, Rusty was not. Not him, because he had big thoughts racing through his mind. He stood up and pranced over to the long mirror on the wall. His brothers and sisters had their own talents.

"What is mine?" Rusty cocked his head in the mirror.

"Riley can chase his tail, Bailey catches balls, Sassafras is the cutest, and Dandy runs the fastest!" he murmured, glancing at the snoring pile with a hint of envy.

Dandy kicked his furry back leg and squeakily yawned.

"What can I do? What will I be when I grow up?" he asked his own reflection, as if it could give him all the answers.
