Hi! I’m Jackie Gerbil!
I live at Shawsheen River Gerbils, where I love digging tunnels, racing on my wheel, and exploring everywhere I can. I’m curious, friendly, and when I get excited—thump, thump!—my tiny feet give me away.
I’m seven weeks old, the oldest pup in my gerbil clan, and I live with my brothers, sisters, and my wonderful mama. I can’t wait to discover what makes me special and begin my next big adventure!

This is Mama Gerbil!
She’s a black-and-white gerbil and very busy caring for my brothers and sisters. Even when she’s distracted, she always believes in me and cheers me on as I discover what makes me special.

These are my brothers and sisters!
Fox, Indigo, Max, Mouse, and Milo look just like me, but each one has their own sparkle. We’re energetic, determined, and always ready to help one another. Whenever things get tricky, they’re right by my side, cheering me on and reminding me that we’re stronger together.
This is Winter, my older friend.
He’s the oldest gerbil at the shelter and a real champion — he even won first place at a gerbil show! Winter is calm, wise, and always ready to help. Whenever I’m unsure of myself, he encourages me to keep trying and reminds me that everyone has something special to share.
This is Pippin, my adopted brother.
He’s a black gerbil with a curious mind and a big imagination. Pippin can be nervous and unsure of himself at first, but he’s sweet, earnest, and always eager to learn. With a little encouragement, his determination shines through, and he grows braver every day.
This is Leslie.
She’s kind, observant, and someone who understands gerbils very well. Leslie knows the folks at Shawsheen River Gerbils, and when she visits, everything feels a little calmer and brighter.

This is where I live at Shawsheen River Gerbils Shelter. I run on my wheel, chew on toilet paper tubes, and dig through the soft bedding. I spend my days playing with my brothers and sisters, exploring our cozy home, and resting together after a busy day. It’s a safe, happy place filled with curiosity, comfort, and lots of little adventures.

Shawsheen River Gerbil Shelter is a warm, caring place with shelves of glass tanks, each home to gerbils of many colors. Some live here their whole lives, while others wait to be adopted into new families. Every gerbil is safe, well cared for, and given a place to belong.
